Do Videos Need SEO?

Well sure they do. Everything these days has SEO attached to it or should. When you post information in Digg, or any of the social sites you should be using your keywords in your taggs, and posting videos should be no exception.
If you are displaying videos on your site then you will need to be sure to use your meta data boxes for that page. You also should be sure that the video goes with the rest of the content on that specific page.

You would not post a wedding blooper video on the same page as your Motor-Cross article.

They would be very meta incompatable unless ……it was a wedding blooper including motor-cross. ( like to say moto-cross the r just doesn’t seem right)

I don’t think that you should ever take meta data for granted. The meta description for your video is as important as it is for every page of your site. After all with out a meta description, you can not control what will be seen on the Search Engines.
